This document analyzes labor segregation by gender in the municipalities of the AMB, the RMB and the province of Barcelona between 2012 and 2022. The results show that the municipality of Barcelona presents a lower labor segregation than the rest of the areas. In comparison, the rest of the AMB and the rest of the RMB are the areas with greater labor segregation. Regarding the evolution of the segregation index between 2012 and 2022, labor segregation has decreased in all the areas analyzed, especially in the rest of the AMB, followed by Barcelona and the whole of the AMB.
